Why are reincarnations necessary?

In answering this question, we need to first understand the earth is given to us by the Almighty Father as a school. Let us call it “the school of life”. We are meant to develop in it and mature. On attaining the necessary maturity we are assured of ascent to the Eternal Gardens from where we came to the earth in the first place.

However, to attain this maturity, man needs more than one earth life. Man returns to the earth as often as necessary. But we return as human beings, not as plants or animals as these are of a different species from us. To attain the required maturity, we need to work and strive a little upwards in each life. Such development is the very purpose of every life on earth!

Through reincarnations the opportunities are presented to each of us to redeem the mistakes of past earth lives. This is another grace of God bestowed upon men. Even if men had remained inwardly good, they would still have to come to the earth repeatedly in order to mature but certainly not as often as has become necessary after the fall of man.

Reincarnation which many people deny today is a lawful happening in Creation that takes place day in day out across the globe!

Let me give an example. Some decades ago Therese Neumann lived in a part of Europe. At a point in her life she developed a phenomenon called stigmata. This means that she bore on her body wound marks similar to those borne by Jesus during His crucifixion. The wounds on the lady bleeds and she was sometimes drenched in her own blood while she lay on her bed in agony. The pains were aggravated when medicaments are applied to the wounds. Many people came from far and wide on pilgrimage to where she stayed. At times she heared in spirit talk about the crucifixion in dialects of the language of that time to the amazement of language experts.

When asked about this matter, the Author of the Grail Message made it clear that the soul concerned had been on earth before. She was in the past one of those that reviled Christ as He suffered on the cross. She had been permitted to come to the earth this time to settle accounts. Through reincarnation this soul was given another opportunity to recognize her faults and to ask for forgiveness, this being the only way to deliverance!

Therefore, no man lives only once on earth! We come again and again, until we have learned to be such that can be re admitted back to Paradise. That is the key to the understanding of all earth life!

How the Law of Sowing and Reaping works

The effect of the Law of Sowing and Reaping is that man must reap what he has once sown, unconditionally. No one can possibly reap or pay for what has been sown by someone else.

Examples abound. The effect of this Law is visible in nature as pineapples can only grow from seeds of pineapple. This Law also applies without fail to man’s thoughts, words and deeds. Each one of these constitutes seeds that we sow every minute and are bound to produce a harvest of a similar kind. So when we utter words of kindness we reap kindness in return. I have experienced it many times when someone who normally is difficult will say to me: well- because of the sober way you have made your request, speaking to me kindly, I will assist you.

In the same way, a tyrant who perpetrates acts of wickedness against his people will reap hatred, revolts, riots and multiple rebellions from the people. These may eventually swallow up such a wicked ruler. In recent months we have seen this happen in many Arab countries.

The point in time at which the effect will take place is irrelevant but the reaping of the fruits of our sowing happens at some time, at the specified hour, in this world or the beyond or in yet another earth life.

Scientists who are familiar with this Law speak of it by reference to the fundamental law that force always generates a counteracting force. They say further that an effect without a counter-effect is not conceivable at all. So if we strike a hammer on a hard object then the hammer will bounce back as a consequence of the hardness of the target object. If however the hammer is softer than the object, the hammer will get distorted or dented at the point of impact.

Similarly, there is an effect for every movement of our thoughts, words and action. In all simplicity – what a man sows he will reap many times over.

This Law is to be loved by those who sow good seeds, who keep their thoughts pure, do not think ill of others, who love their neighbour, give to others with their being, offer words of peace and kind advice to others and who will not betray or wilfully harm others. These ones shall reap blessings, peace and happiness. However, those who sow evil seeds need to fear this Law, for even if they are the cleverest person in the whole world the all embracing arms of the Law of Sowing & Reaping will reach them and ensure that they take in full measure the fruits of their works.

What does it mean to have other gods?

This question seeks an explanation of the very first of the Ten Commandments of God which says: “I am the Lord thy God! Thou shalt have no other gods but me!”

An easy going person may think that this Commandment is directed at idol worshippers, demon-worshippers and other similarly misguided ones. He pitifully thinks of these people without a thought that perhaps he is also an offender.

Let us consider: for many of us, material achievements, money, fame, power, and position means everything. Some place their spouse, children and family above all else for whom they can make any sacrifice. For some it is their health and fitness, for others it can be earthly pleasures. When we look deeply and closely at all of these, the persons in question actually love none other but themselves. This of course is idolatry pure and simple!

The Commandment strictly forbids and warns against it. And this is for our benefit! A person who in defiance of this Commandment places priorities on the things mentioned earlier can be likened unto a man who puts all his treasures on earth. When he passes on, he will remain bound to this earth instead of ascending to Paradise our eternal home. This is because all his thoughts and aspirations are focused on things which are on earth. He stands in danger of remaining earthbound and being swept along into the inevitable disintegration of all material substance which do not last forever but must disintegrate at a point in order to be formed anew. The human soul who is caught in this disintegration of matter will however suffer spiritual death and its name will be erased from the Book of Life!

By obeying this Commandment we are saved from this terrible fate! It is therefore necessary for man to regard this Commandment as a lifeline! Sadly man is easily carried away by many earthly matters which become a propensity that enslaves him. Whatever this earthly matter may be, once it takes the prime of place above the love for the Most High, it becomes man’s golden calf, a false deity or idol.

We obey this Commandment however, when we put God above all else not just in our imagination or mere words but deep in our hearts and soul in reverential love and pure devotion. This means abiding with the Truth and living accordingly. We thereby lay our treasures in heaven which is eternal as opposed to laying up treasures upon this transient earth. When we live our life this way, on leaving the flesh, we will be empowered to ascend to Paradise, the Kingdom of Heaven.
