AN APPEAL TO YOU MY GOOD FRIEND

Please let us at this time direct our thoughts towards Nigeria so that she is directed to the path of good, peace and progress.

Let us leave the tent of those who are specialists in low level thoughts, who continuously post divisive materials on religion, sectionalism, alarming news, conspiracy theories, horror pictures, and so on.

Let us remain in the vanguard for Truth where good thoughts, positive/uplifting words and noble deeds are the main weapons of war!

DO YOU SAY THAT HIS BLOOD SHOULD COVER YOU AND ALL YOURS?

If you do this, then please remember the story in Mathew 27:24-25. When Pilate saw that he was accomplishing nothing, but that instead a riot was breaking out, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd. “I am innocent of this man’s blood,” he said. “You shall bear the responsibility.” All the people answered, “His blood be on us and on our children!”

Indeed, the very first users of the phrase similar to what you are now using are the wicked ones who would have The Promised One crucified at all cost even if it meant deliberately laying a curse on themselves and their children. Some have linked this blood curse to the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. While in the process of committing the atrocious crucifixion, the writer of Luke tells us that they were warned: “But Jesus turned to them and said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.” (Luke 23:28)

Now, let us ask ourselves: What really is the true significance of the blood of the Promised One? He said to His disciples that he who absorbs His Word absorbs Him and eats of His body and drinks of His blood! The Promised One is the Word of God which had become flesh! So if we accept His Word of salvation and act accordingly then we have absorbed His flesh and blood and that is what cleanses and saves us! Thus it is written in John 15:3 -- “You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.” And when in Revelations 7:14 we read of those who have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb, this refers to those who have availed themselves of the Word of the Promised One by living according to the Word for which the Promised One died after being labelled a blasphemer! And please note that they did the washing away of their sins by themselves as the Promised One did not take their guilt upon Himself!

Now that you know the origins of the words you use gleefully today, do you still want to continue in the habit?

May we decide firmly to live strictly according to the Word of Truth and salvation brought to us by the Promised One and stop the horrible habit of crucifying Him all over again daily and hourly through our ugly practices and erroneous statements.
