HOW SHOULD WE LIVE IN THESE CHALLENGING TIMES? (PART VIII)

Let us now discuss the significance of the times in which we live.

These challenging times gives evidence that man has not hitherto lived in the way he should. Jesus knew the true cause of the fall of man and the full gravity of its consequences. He also knew that men at that time were not in a hurry to free themselves from the enslavement to their own warped brains. Out of this knowledge He spoke of the final time and of the manifestations of the Last Judgment. It is obvious that we are now at this time with all the result of our past failure staring us in the face. Jesus also promised us that at this time of great perplexities His Word will be proclaimed once more on earth.

This is the time of the fulfillment and man must take advantage of the knowledge of God’s Laws which is required if man wishes to be saved. The significance of this period is that it points us to an understanding of God’s Language which He speaks through His Work of Creation. The Lord’s Language are expressed in His Laws! What are these Laws in brief?

The Law of Sowing and Reaping: This Law stipulates that we will reap what we have sown unconditionally and in multiples. As this Law manifests in nature, it also applies to our words thoughts and deeds. These are seeds which in the workings of Creation bring back to us fruits of a similar kind.

The Law of like Attracts like: This Law maintains order in Creation. For the human spirit, there is an inherent ability to attract things just as a magnet will attract metals. This Law of Nature ensures that man will not attract all sorts of things to itself in a wild confusion. To maintain strict order, this Law ensures that only what is similar to the nature of the human spirit is attracted to it.

The Law of Spiritual Gravitation: This Law ensures that the inner attitude of man determines his spiritual weight. So the less pure a person is, the heavier he will become spiritually. Such a person has an unhealthy attachment to material things like money, power and all kinds of immorality. On earth, he will be a sad man, feeling weighed down by his invisible and sometimes visible load of sin! Such a soul that stubbornly clings to earthly things will not only continually feel heavy but will finally perish with the earth when the World of Matter disintegrates. This is spiritual death!

By listening to the lies of Lucifer, man turned against these Laws. Obedience to these Laws would have brought man peace, success and supreme happiness. On the contrary however, disobedience over thousands of years has now landed us where we are today!

In Part IX we will continue our discussion on the significance of the times in which we live.
