When I was a child I was told
that the angels in heaven have the work of singing the praise of the Almighty
ceaselessly! We are told further that the Lord delights in the praise of men.
This morning a movie was brought
to my attention. A praise singer was working assiduously praise singing a man
who then rewarded the singer by throwing money at him in bundles! The man was
acting as though possessed. The singer played on his vanity and got him exactly
where he wanted him.
However we cannot do this with
the Almighty and expect blessings to rain upon us. We do not receive His help
simply because we sing songs of praise to Him or that we have described Him
with many praise words in prayer or in songs. We need to do more by matching
our words and songs of praise with thoughts, words and visible deeds that show
clearly that we genuinely worship the Lord Almighty! Let us praise Him by our
actions.
Yes, the Angels, Archangels and
all the beings in all the spheres have no free will of their own and worship
the Lord of all the Worlds ceaselessly and unconditionally. However, they do
this through their joyful activity.
We human beings have free will. This
then obliges us to subordinate our free will to the Will of our Maker. When we
do this we join the hosts above whose joyful activity are like verses of hymns
of praise to their Lord! Doing the Will of God is and remains the way to sing
genuine praises to the Almighty Father!
